Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate helps fulfill the logistics of receiving, processing, and storing inventory Monday through Friday. They perform tasks like storing products, receiving incoming deliveries, scanning items before logging them onto our computer systems, managing stock, maintaining a warehouse’s cleanliness, and inspecting products to detect defects or damages. They also assemble and package products related to orders and ensure proper shipment of goods. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions of the Position
-Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
-Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
-Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
-Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
-Report any discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor.
-Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
-Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
-Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
-Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
-Follows instructions; responds to management directions.
-Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
-Meets productivity standards. Strives to increase productivity.
-Contributes to building a positive team spirit; supports everyone’s efforts to succeed.
-Maintain all safety standards.
-Support other departments as necessary.
-Perform additional assignments in accordance with the Warehouse Supervisor’s direction.
-Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
-High school diploma or GED.
-Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
-Attendance must be consistent and on time.
-Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
-Ability to use all warehouse equipment; Forklift License obtained within first 90 days.
-Attention to detail with excellent data management skills.
-Good math skills.
-Able to read, write and speak English.
-Computer skills required, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
-Excellent listening and communication skills.
-Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds throughout the shift.
-Able to push and pull carts loaded with product.
-Willing and able to follow all safety rules and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
-Able to stand and walk during the majority of the 8-hour shift.
-Reliable transportation.
-Exposure to hot and cold inside warehouse conditions as well as occasional outside weather elements due to loading and unloading trucks.
-Exposed to moderate noise levels.
